Cardboard kart racer Kartboard Dash launches on mobile and PC

Zatun's arcade racer Kartboard Dash has left early access and is now available on iOS, Android, and PC. The game features handmade cardboard and tape tracks, power-ups, and race-wide modifiers that activate during the final two laps. It is free-to-play with in-game purchases and supports cross-platform multiplayer.
Kartboard Dash comes from Zatun, an independent developer located in Ahmedabad that has spent roughly twenty years creating games. Its release on iOS, Android, and PC follows a mobile early-access period of about six weeks, with a previewer previously expressing cautious hope for the project.
The racer wraps its tracks, props, vehicles, and environments in a handmade cardboard-and-tape style. During the last two laps, shared modifiers affect every competitor, introducing speed boosts, bumper-like impacts, or hazard trails. Multiplayer connects mobile and PC players, while the mobile version is free with optional purchases.
Kartboard Dash may appeal to mobile and PC players who want a free-to-play racer with shared cross-platform matches. Its cardboard aesthetic and an Indian independent studio's original IP could raise visibility for regional developers and inspire smaller teams. Because the mobile version includes optional purchases, some players—especially younger audiences—could encounter spending prompts, so its social impact may depend on how those purchases are balanced.
