GamerLegion eliminates 1win as LGD and Yandex advance at PGL Wallachia Season 9
GamerLegion knocked 1win Team out of PGL Wallachia Season 9 in eighth place after a three-game lower-bracket series. LGD Gaming swept Xtreme Gaming 2-0 in the upper bracket, guaranteeing at least a top-three finish. Team Yandex defeated Aurora 2-1 after losing the opening map.
Day 2 at PGL Wallachia Season 9 saw GamerLegion send 1win Team home in eighth after a three-map lower-bracket clash.
1win stayed alive via bzm’s 21/5/10 Nature’s Prophet in a 68-minute second game, but GamerLegion seized the decider and finished it in 36 minutes. LGD Gaming’s 2-0 upper-bracket victory over Xtreme Gaming ensured it cannot place below third. Team Yandex later overcame Aurora 2-1, bouncing back after skiter’s 23/1/12 Ursa powered Aurora in game one.
The results may affect fans, players, and tournament organizers by shifting attention toward LGD Gaming’s top-three run and Yandex’s resilience after a map loss. GamerLegion’s elimination of 1win could alter expectations around roster strength and lower-bracket survival, while Aurora’s upcoming upper-bracket meeting with LGD may draw viewers interested in former teammates skiter and ATF. For the wider Dota 2 scene, such outcomes could influence discussion of team form, seeding, and competitive balance, though only within the esports community.
